Draw It Out Counseling Services
Karina Ray MA, LMHC, Art Therapist, and Addiction Counselor uses her combined education and training to respectfully bring in more emotional wellness. Art Therapy requires no artistic talent, training, or skill by the clients. All supplies are provided via the art therapist.
Ms. Ray's clinical focuses are male depression, addicted youth, disempowered women, college students, urban youth, and families seeking healing together.
While licensed massage therapists need to have specific education, although anyone can rub a back generally, art therapists are MA educated and trained in facilitating therapeutic art-making and processing, even though anyone can generally use art materials anywhere. Additionally every art therapist is an artist so as to know the "terrain" that clients are working on or with. Please respect that art therapy is not a technique, but a profession.
It is my honor to witness clients breakthrough emotional blocks using personal color, shape, form, and texture.
