Cindy Feinberg CPC,CAC is a New York recovery coach offering sober coaching, intervention services and ancillary services for people in recovery from addiction.
A recovery coach helps facilitate the actions necessary to remain free from alcohol and drugs as well as support the client through life’s every day challenges.
Becoming abstinent can be daunting for people new to recovery or for the family members of newly recovering individuals. When you are new to recovery, you are especially vulnerable to the allure of your old life style. I work with individuals at all stages of recovery, whether the client is leaving residential treatment, currently in a sober living, in an outpatient day program, in their own home in a transition process or recently relapsed.
A recovery coach initially meets with the individual 3 times per week for one-hour sessions. The location of meetings will be determined depending on where the client is in their sobriety, and what they are currently working on.
In addition, a recovery coach is available on call by phone for crisis support 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. This service alone, can help prevent relapses and supports individuals in between sessions.
